To ensure that P22 continues to bring you more exciting, historically relevant type, please take the time to read this agreement. It might not be the most fascinating read, but its very important and may answer many questions that you may have. Please register your fonts and remember that free software is an exception, not the rule. 1. Notice to user. You (End User) have not purchased the ownership rights to this font, but rather a license to use this font on a limited basis. The basic P22 distributed software license is limited for use on a total of 5 devices at one site for use on a single platform. A device is defined as a computer, printer, character generator, server or any other machine that uses font data to rasterize letterforms. A site is defined as one physical location. Platform refers to operating systems designated as 'Macintosh', 'Windows' or other. A laptop may be one of the devices in the basic license of 5 devices as long as the laptop is associated primarily with the licensed location. Simply working offsite on a laptop is permissible in the basic license and is regarded as an extension of the site. Work transported from one distinct network to another distinct network, via a laptop requires each network to be licensed properly.Additional licensing is also required if you are installing the font(s) on more than 5 devices (Site License), or a LAN/WAN Server with more than 4 devices, or, if you and/or additional users will have access to the font(s) at more than one location (Corporate License), or, if your printer/service bureau is installing the fonts for job output for more than one-time use (Service Bureau). Aus den Anforderungen an eine gut lesbare Schrift eines nicht realisierten Projekts fr die Untertitelung auf TV-Bildschirmen, entstand aus den ursprnglichen Antiqua-Formen heraus eine serifenlose Schrift mit groer Kleinbuchstabenhhe, die gerade in kleinen Gren gut zu lesen ist. Die Mantika Sans wirkt kompakt sowohl in ihrer vertikalen Ausdehnung, aufgrund der relativ kleinen Versalien und den eher kurzen Ober- und Unterlngen, als auch im horizontalen Zeilenbild mit ihren schmalen Proportionen. Deutliche Unterscheidungen der Buchstaben wie zum Beispiel bei I, i und l frdern nicht nur die Lesbarkeit auf Bildschirmen. Die vier Schnitte der Mantika Sans eignen sich deshalb besonders auch fr den Office-Bereich oder fr die Gestaltung von Geschftsberichten, mit ihrem weiteren Merkmal der kleinen Versalziffern, die deutlich kleiner als die Versalien sind und somit im fortlaufenden Text nicht unangenehm auffallen. Die fast aufrechte Kursive mit nur 4,5 Neigung hat ganz eigenstndige Formen, so dass sie sich deutlich als Auszeichnungsschrift hervorhebt, aber auch alleine als eine angenehme Textschrift fr lngere Passagen dienen kann. Diese konzeptionellen Eigenschaften ermglichten es, die vier zusammenhngenden Schnitte der Mantika Sans dicktengleich zu halten, so dass ein Wechsel der Schriftart im Layout den Satzumbruch nicht ndert. Der Zeichenumfang der Mantika Sans ist paneuropisch angelegt, mit Untersttzung von Griechisch und Kyrillisch. Desweiteren ist sie mit vielen ntzlichen Sonderzeichen ausgestattet, wie etwa spitze Klammern, hoch- und tiefgestellte Kleinbuchstaben und Ziffern, Pfeile und Aufzhlungszeichen.
