Die Ursprnge der Mantika Sans gehen zurck auf eine im Jahr 2000 entworfene Serifenschrift, wie man am Strichwechselkontrast der neuen Serifenlosen gut erkennen kann. Aus den Anforderungen an eine gut lesbare Schrift eines nicht realisierten Projekts fr die Untertitelung auf TV-Bildschirmen, entstand aus den ursprnglichen Antiqua-Formen heraus eine serifenlose Schrift mit groer Kleinbuchstabenhhe, die gerade in kleinen Gren gut zu lesen ist. Die Mantika Sans wirkt kompakt sowohl in ihrer vertikalen Ausdehnung, aufgrund der relativ kleinen Versalien und den eher kurzen Ober- und Unterlngen, als auch im horizontalen Zeilenbild mit ihren schmalen Proportionen. Deutliche Unterscheidungen der Buchstaben wie zum Beispiel bei I, i und l frdern nicht nur die Lesbarkeit auf Bildschirmen. Die vier Schnitte der Mantika Sans eignen sich deshalb besonders auch fr den Office-Bereich oder fr die Gestaltung von Geschftsberichten, mit ihrem weiteren Merkmal der kleinen Versalziffern, die deutlich kleiner als die Versalien sind und somit im fortlaufenden Text nicht unangenehm auffallen. Die fast aufrechte Kursive mit nur 4,5 Neigung hat ganz eigenstndige Formen, so dass sie sich deutlich als Auszeichnungsschrift hervorhebt, aber auch alleine als eine angenehme Textschrift fr lngere Passagen dienen kann. Diese konzeptionellen Eigenschaften ermglichten es, die vier zusammenhngenden Schnitte der Mantika Sans dicktengleich zu halten, so dass ein Wechsel der Schriftart im Layout den Satzumbruch nicht ndert. Der Zeichenumfang der Mantika Sans ist paneuropisch angelegt, mit Untersttzung von Griechisch und Kyrillisch. Desweiteren ist sie mit vielen ntzlichen Sonderzeichen ausgestattet, wie etwa spitze Klammern, hoch- und tiefgestellte Kleinbuchstaben und Ziffern, Pfeile und Aufzhlungszeichen.

This non-exclusive license grants you to use font software in a Licensed Unit for your own personal or internal business purposes according to the terms of this Agreement. You agree that TT owns all right, title and interest in and to the Font Software, its structure, organization, code, and related files, including all property rights therein such as copyright, design and trademarks rights. You agree that the Font Software, its structure, organization, code, and related files are valuable property of TT and that any intentional Use of the Font Software not expressly permitted by the Agreement constitutes a theft of valuable property. All rights not expressly granted in the Agreement are expressly reserved to TT. You may not use the Font Software to electronically distribute a Commercial Document without a separate license from TT authorizing you to do so. 6. You may make back-up copies of the Font Software for archival purposes only, provided that you retain exclusive custody and control over such copies.7.You may take a digitized copy of the Font Software used in a particular document to a commercial printer or service bureau for outputting this particular document (this document may be edited by the printer or service bureau). In the event of use of the Font Software for other purposes, the printer or service bureau must purchase its own Font Software licenses.8.You may embed the Font Software in documents either as a rasterized representation of the Font Software (e.g., a GIF or JPEG) or as a subset of the Font Software as long as the document is distributed in a secure format that itself is not a Commercial Product. You need an additional license from TT or its Distributors for embedding the Font Software in a Commercial Product.9.You may adapt, modify, alter, translate, convert, and install the font software into another format for use in other environments, subject to the following conditions: A computer on which the converted font software is used or installed shall be considered as one of your permitted number of computers. Use of the font software you have converted shall be pursuant to all the terms and conditions of this Agreement. Such converted font software may be used for your own customary internal business or personal use exclusively and man not be distributed or transferred for any purpose. You many not modify or remove the name(s) of the font software, author's signature, copyright and trademark notices from the original files. 10.The Font Software may not be installed or Used on a server that can be accessed via the Internet or other external network system (a system other than a LAN) by Workstations which are not part of a Licensed Unit. 11. Except as granted in 6. to 7, you may not copy the Font Software or allow third parties to copy the Font Software. Any copy of the Font Software must contain the same copyright, trademark, and other proprietary information as the originals.12. You acknowledge that the Font Software is protected by the copyright and other intellectual property law of the United States and its various States, by the copyright and design laws of other nations, and by international treaties. Any copyright, trademark and other rights belong exclusively to TT, except as expressly provided in 5. You do not gain the ownership of the Font Software under this Agreement. The structure, organization, and the code of the Font Software are trade secrets of TT, and you agree to treat them as such. You agree to treat the Font Software as you would any other copyrighted material, such as a book. You may not copy the Font Software, except as expressly provided herein. Any copies that you are expressly permitted to make pursuant to the Agreement must contain the same copyright, trademark, and other proprietary notices that appear on or in the Font Software. You agree not to create Derivative Works from Font Software or any portion thereof. You further agree not to use Font Software in connection with software and/or hardware which create Derivative Works of such Font Software.13. You may not rent, lease, sublicense, give, lend, or further distribute the Font Software, parts of it, or any copy thereof, except as expressly provided herein. You may transfer all your rights to use the Font Software to another person or legal entity provided that (i) the transferee accepts and agrees to be bound by all the terms and conditions of the Agreement, (ii) you destroy all copies of the Font Software, including all copies stored in the memory of a hardware device, and that (iii) you notify TT about the transfer by submitting the online form located at www.type-together.com/notifications/ or by writting to Rpdriguez 1339 Suite 7, 2000 Rosario, Argentina. Without limiting the generality of the foregoing, you agree that you will not distribute or disseminate all or any part of the Font Software through any online service.14. Limited warranty. For a period of ninety (90) days after delivery, TT warrants that the font software will perform in accordance with its documentation. To make a warranty claim, you must return the Font Software to the location from which you obtained it along with a copy of your sales receipt within such ninety (90) day period. The entire, exclusive, and cumulative liability and remedy shall be limited to the refund of the license fee you paid to TT to obtain delivery of the Font Software. Neither the warranty nor technical support do not apply to any font software converted or modified by the user.15. Disclaimer of warranties. TT DOES NOT WARRANT THE PERFORMANCE OR RESULTS YOU MAY OBTAIN BY USING THE FONT SOFTWARE. THE FOREGOING STATES THE SOLE AND EXCLUSIVE REMEDIES FOR TTS BREACH OF WARRANTY. This Agreement does not permit the installation or use of multiple copies of the Software Product, or the installation of the Software Product on more than one computer at any given time, on a system that allows shared used of applications, on a multi-user network, or on any configuration or system of computers that allows multiple users. Multiple copy use or installation is only allowed if you obtain an appropriate licensing agreement for each user and each copy of the Software Product. Restrictions on Transfer Without first obtaining the express written consent of KD, you may not assign your rights and obligations under this Agreement, or redistribute, encumber, sell, rent, lease, sublicense, or otherwise transfer your rights to the Software Product. Restrictions on Use You may not use, copy, or install the Software Product on any system with more than one computer, or permit the use, copying, or installation of the Software Product by more than one user or on more than one computer. If you hold multiple, validly licensed copies, you may not use, copy, or install the Software Product on any system with more than the number of computers permitted by license, or permit the use, copying, or installation by more users, or on more computers than the number permitted by license. You may not decompile, reverse-engineer, disassemble, or otherwise attempt to derive the source code for the Software Product. You may not use the database portion of the Software Product in connection with any software other than the Software Product. Restrictions on Alteration You may not modify the Software Product or create any derivative work of the Software Product or its accompanying documentation. Derivative works include but are not limited to translations. You may not alter any files or libraries in any portion of the Software Product. You may not reproduce the database portion or create any tables or reports relating to the database portion. Restrictions on Copying You may not copy any part of the Software Product except to the extent that licensed use inherently demands the creation of a temporary copy stored in computer memory and not permanently affixed on storage medium. You may make one archival copy which must be stored on a medium other than a computer hard drive. Limited Software Product Warranty For a period of 10 days days from the date of shipment or from the date that you download the Software Product, as applicable, KD warrants that when properly installed and used under normal conditions, the Software Product will perform substantially as advertised. Disclaimer of Warranties and Limitation of Liability UNLESS OTHERWISE EXPLICITLY AGREED TO IN WRITING BY KD, KD MAKES NO OTHER WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, IN FACT OR IN LAW, INCLUDING, BUT NOT LIMITED TO, ANY IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY OR FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE OTHER THAN AS SET FORTH IN THIS AGREEMENT OR IN THE LIMITED WARRANTY DOCUMENTS PROVIDED WITH THE SOFTWARE PRODUCT. KD makes no warranty that the Software Product will meet your requirements or operate under your specific conditions of use. KD makes no warranty that operation of the Software Product will be secure, error free, or free from interruption. YOU MUST DETERMINE WHETHER THE SOFTWARE PRODUCT SUFFICIENTLY MEETS YOUR REQUIREMENTS FOR SECURITY AND UNINTERRUPTABILITY. YOU BEAR SOLE RESPONSIBILITY AND ALL LIABILITY FOR ANY LOSS INCURRED DUE TO FAILURE OF THE SOFTWARE PRODUCT TO MEET YOUR REQUIREMENTS. KD WILL NOT, UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES, BE RESPONSIBLE OR LIABLE FOR THE LOSS OF DATA ON ANY COMPUTER OR INFORMATION STORAGE DEVICE. UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES SHALL KD, ITS DIRECTORS, OFFICERS, EMPLOYEES OR AGENTS BE LIABLE TO YOU OR ANY OTHER PARTY FOR INDIRECT, CONSEQUENTIAL, SPECIAL, INCIDENTAL, PUNITIVE, OR EXEMPLARY DAMAGES OF ANY KIND (INCLUDING LOST REVENUES OR PROFITS OR LOSS OF BUSINESS) RESULTING FROM THIS AGREEMENT, OR FROM THE FURNISHING, PERFORMANCE, INSTALLATION, OR USE OF THE SOFTWARE PRODUCT, WHETHER DUE TO A BREACH OF CONTRACT, BREACH OF WARRANTY, OR THE NEGLIGENCE OF KD OR ANY OTHER PARTY, EVEN IF KD IS ADVISED BEFOREHAND OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES. TO THE EXTENT THAT THE APPLICABLE JURISDICTION LIMITS KD'S ABILITY TO DISCLAIM ANY IMPLIED WARRANTIES, THIS DISCLAIMER SHALL BE EFFECTIVE TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED. Limitation of Remedies and Damages Your remedy for a breach of this Agreement or of any warranty included in this Agreement is the correction or replacement of the Software Product. Selection of whether to correct or replace shall be solely at the discretion of KD. KD reserves the right to substitute a functionally equivalent copy of the Software Product as a replacement. If KD is unable to provide a replacement or substitute Software Product or corrections to the Software Product, your sole alternate remedy shall be a refund of the purchase price for the Software Product exclusive of any costs for shipping and handling. Any claim must be made within the applicable warranty period. All warranties cover only defects arising under normal use and do not include malfunctions or failure resulting from misuse, abuse, neglect, alteration, problems with electrical power, acts of nature, unusual temperatures or humidity, improper installation, or damage determined by KD to have been caused by you. All limited warranties on the Software Product are granted only to you and are non-transferable. You agree to indemnify and hold KD harmless from all claims, judgments, liabilities, expenses, or costs arising from your breach of this Agreement and/or acts or omissions. Governing Law, Jurisdiction and Costs This Agreement is governed by the laws of California, without regard to California's conflict or choice of law provisions. Severability If any provision of this Agreement shall be held to be invalid or unenforceable, the remainder of this Agreement shall remain in full force and effect. To the extent any express or implied restrictions are not permitted by applicable laws, these express or implied restrictions shall remain in force and effect to the maximum extent permitted by such applicable laws.
