Definitionen 1. Der Begriff Abwandlung im Sinne dieser Lizenz bezeichnet das Ergebnis jeglicher Art von Vernderung des Schutzgegenstandes, solange die eigenpersnlichen Zge des Schutzgegenstandes darin nicht verblassen und daran eigene Schutzrechte entstehen. Das kann insbesondere eine Bearbeitung, Umgestaltung, nderung, Anpassung, bersetzung oder Heranziehung des Schutzgegenstandes zur Vertonung von Laufbildern sein. Nicht als Abwandlung des Schutzgegenstandes gelten seine Aufnahme in eine Sammlung oder ein Sammelwerk und die freie Benutzung des Schutzgegenstandes. 2. Der Begriff Sammelwerk im Sinne dieser Lizenz meint eine Zusammenstellung von literarischen, knstlerischen oder wissenschaftlichen Inhalten, sofern diese Zusammenstellung aufgrund von Auswahl und Anordnung der darin enthaltenen selbstndigen Elemente eine geistige Schpfung darstellt, unabhngig davon, ob die Elemente systematisch oder methodisch angelegt und dadurch einzeln zugnglich sind oder nicht. 3. Verbreiten im Sinne dieser Lizenz bedeutet, den Schutzgegenstand oder Abwandlungen im Original oder in Form von Vervielfltigungsstcken, mithin in krperlich fixierter Form der ffentlichkeit anzubieten oder in Verkehr zu bringen. 4. Rechteinhaber im Sinne dieser Lizenz ist der Urheber des Schutzgegenstandes oder jede andere natrliche oder juristische Person oder Gruppe von Personen, die am Schutzgegenstand ein Immaterialgterrecht erlangt hat, welches die in Abschnitt 3 genannten Handlungen erfasst und bei dem eine Einrumung von Nutzungsrechten oder eine Weiterbertragung an Dritte mglich ist. 7. Der Begriff Schutzgegenstand bezeichnet in dieser Lizenz den literarischen, knstlerischen oder wissenschaftlichen Inhalt, der unter den Bedingungen dieser Lizenz angeboten wird. Das kann insbesondere eine persnliche geistige Schpfung jeglicher Art, ein Werk der kleinen Mnze, ein nachgelassenes Werk oder auch ein Lichtbild oder anderes Objekt eines verwandten Schutzrechts sein, unabhngig von der Art seiner Fixierung und unabhngig davon, auf welche Weise jeweils eine Wahrnehmung erfolgen kann, gleichviel ob in analoger oder digitaler Form. Vervielfltigen im Sinne dieser Lizenz bedeutet, mittels beliebiger Verfahren Vervielfltigungsstcke des Schutzgegenstandes herzustellen, insbesondere durch Ton- oder Bildaufzeichnungen, und umfasst auch den Vorgang, erstmals krperliche Fixierungen des Schutzgegenstandes sowie Vervielfltigungsstcke dieser Fixierungen anzufertigen, sowie die bertragung des Schutzgegenstandes auf einen Bild- oder Tontrger oder auf ein anderes elektronisches Medium, gleichviel ob in digitaler oder analoger Form. 11. Having recently joined Monotype in 2010, Terrance Weinzierl was studying the library of typefaces looking for ways to expand and improve on the many classic designs. Having been a fan of Eric Gills work for some time, the slab serif Joanna stood out. After initial sketches, Terrance decided to pursue a reimagining of Joanna, in a sans serif form. The update to the serif Joanna, named Joanna Nova, was picked up by Ben Jones. After nearly 3 years of research and development, the pair of families were ready to be released. Joanna Sans borrows heavily from Joanna, but takes a direction of its own. It has influences from other Gill faces, like the low contrast of Gill Sans, and the calligraphic nature of Perpetua. The scale of the body and x-height of Joanna Sans have been increased from the original Joanna, to be better suited for contemporary typographic demands. It has the varying width proportions and open aperture of a Humanists sans serif, but retains an easygoing geometric tone. The fluid details and structure of the italics can be elegant and striking, while remaining very legible.

Following Generis, Aeonis is Erik Faulhaber's second large type family. Lapidary inscriptions from Ancient Greece supured Faulhaber on to create this typeface?s basic sans serif forms. This clarity is visible in the simplified form of the typeface's capital A. Further inspiration came from a domed lamp designed in 1952 by Wilhelm Wagonfeld; this went on to inspire the roundness in Aeonis. Faulhaber sees the conflict between antiquity and modernity as a struggle between angular and round forms; Aeonis reconciles these trends. By removing spurs at the stems of the lowercase letters, Aeonis reduces the alphabet to its most basic movements; and in order to further strengthen reading speed, all of the unnecessary horizontal elements lave been left out of the lowercase letters and numbers, too. Aeonis is available in three widths and seven weights. Its open letterforms ensure legibility at small sizes. Aeonis works both in complex text layouts and simple logos. As was the case in the Generis family, all of the numbers, currency symbols, mathematical signs, and punctuation marks in the Aeonis fonts have a coordinated system of widths, ensuring their suitability for tables and financial reports. All of its members of the Aeonis family may easily be used with each other; their design combines a contemporary character with sophisticated typography.
