End User License AgreementThe Font-Software and any updates, upgrades, additions or modified versions are the intellectual property of Jeremy Dooley (insigne). Insigne type software is protected under domestic and international copyright law. Licensee (you or your employer) is licensed to use the software on one computer, unless additional licenses are purchased for additional computers or a multi-license agreement is reached. Only for the purpose of outputting design work may Licensee create a copy of the Font-Software Licensee used in design work to provide a commercial printer or other service bureau. Insigne Font-Software may not be made available to unlicensed third parties for any other purpose, unless additional licensees for computers are purchased. Licensee must ensure that recipients of electronic documents or internet pages cannot extract the Font-Software from such documents or use the embedded Font-Software for the creation of new documents.Licensee must not transfer or assign the Font-Software to a third party without written permission. The Font-Software may be modified by an in-house team or a third party for in-house use as long as there are an identical number of licenses granted as there are copies of the modified font. The modified Font-Software may not be sold or distributed. As long as you don't provide the entire font file to someone else in a manner that allows them to type you are in the clear. (with an exception for service bureaus, who, in some cases, need the font to output your layout.) Be sure to lock your .pdf files to disallow editing.I will use your fonts as images on a website. Is that permitted?This use is permitted. However, if you pass maintenance of the website off to someone else, and that person needs to modify the static images, your successor should purchase the font for their computer(s).I created a logo based on one of your fonts. Is that ok?If you provide a logo in a vectorized format to the client that depends heavily on an insigne font, that is acceptable, as long as you do not include the font files. However, if the client takes over the marketing and wants to use the font (all characters, not just the logo) in their extended branding (brochures, website, etc.), the client should purchase licenses for the computers they want to use the font on.Can I use your fonts and then send to a commercial printer?You may take a copy to the printer so they can output your layout. From the EULA: Only for the purpose of outputting particular files may you take a copy of the font(s) you have used for such files to a commercial printer or other service bureau. The preferred method is to embed the fonts in a .pdf file and send that to your printer. Following Generis, Aeonis is Erik Faulhaber's second large type family. Lapidary inscriptions from Ancient Greece supured Faulhaber on to create this typeface?s basic sans serif forms. This clarity is visible in the simplified form of the typeface's capital A. Further inspiration came from a domed lamp designed in 1952 by Wilhelm Wagonfeld; this went on to inspire the roundness in Aeonis. Faulhaber sees the conflict between antiquity and modernity as a struggle between angular and round forms; Aeonis reconciles these trends. By removing spurs at the stems of the lowercase letters, Aeonis reduces the alphabet to its most basic movements; and in order to further strengthen reading speed, all of the unnecessary horizontal elements lave been left out of the lowercase letters and numbers, too. Aeonis is available in three widths and seven weights. Its open letterforms ensure legibility at small sizes. Aeonis works both in complex text layouts and simple logos. As was the case in the Generis family, all of the numbers, currency symbols, mathematical signs, and punctuation marks in the Aeonis fonts have a coordinated system of widths, ensuring their suitability for tables and financial reports. All of its members of the Aeonis family may easily be used with each other; their design combines a contemporary character with sophisticated typography.
